FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1.)  Is CBD Legal in ALL 50 States?

YES! At The Sunflower Queen, we follow the regulations set forth in the United States 2018 Farm Bill, signed into law  on December 20, 2018. The US Farm Bill states that the making of “hemp-based cannabidiol (CBD) products is legal to grow, manufacture, distribute, & transport in all 50 states at the federal level”. Certain states that had previously passed legislation making these products illegal then modified their state laws in order to comply with this federal ruling.

2.) Do your CBD Products contain marijuana? Will they get me “high”?

No. At The Sunflower Queen, we ensure that our CBD is always compliant, respecting the guidelines set forth by the US 2018 Farm Bill, which states that CBD products “must contain less than 0.3% THC (tetrahydrocannabidiol; the active ingredient in marijuana) by dry weight”. The regulations set forth in this bill (that we adhere to strongly) do not allow for a level of THC in CBD products that would be significant enough to have a psychoactive effect in the brain - or, in other words, get you “high”. We test all our incoming raw materials to ensure they are 100% compliant before we receive them into our facility.

3.) Do you use natural, organic, vegan, Kosher and Halal ingredients?

YES! We choose natural, organic, vegan, kosher & halal ingredients when we can, and are proud of our status as a cruelty-free company (we NEVER test on animals!). Our unswerving dedication to our clients success and their customer’s delight, safety & satisfaction provides the white glove service that will take your dream product to market & beyond.

4.) How can I trust that your products are safe & high-quality?

At The Sunflower Queen, our products are formulated by top scientists, flavorists & engineers - with decades of experience in formulation and manufacturing. We purchase USDA organic, natural, kosher & halal raw materials when we can, keeping certificates on file from our growers and extractors. We test all incoming CBD in a Certified ISO 17025 cannabis laboratory to ensure CBD dosage is accurate and THC below national legal levels - before we accept it into our facilities. We perform cannabinoid testing on all our finished products to ensure safety & efficacy before they are shipped to our customers. Significantly, we value the feedback from our customers - always looking for ways to improve our products and seeking relevant inspiration for new products that will continue to meet our customer’s needs.

5.) Can you ship The Sunflower Queen products outside of the USA?

No. Currently, the US Farm Bill signed into law in December 2018 prohibits the same and shipment of CBD products outside the 50 United States.

6.) Do you support local business?

We proudly support using products made in the U.S.A - supporting local small business at every turn whenever possible. This is part of our firm belief of giving back to our community! We choose local printers and supplies, but make exceptions for partnerships with women owned businesses such as FareTail Ghana for our shea butter and Baobab oil.

7. What is the difference between hemp seed oil, CBD full spectrum oil & CBD isolate?

Hemp seed oil comes from exactly that: hemp seeds; which contain negligible amounts of CBD. The most concentrated CBD comes from the flowers or buds, but other plant parts contain lower levels of CBD. To concentrate the CBD, the plants are extracted and the oil distilled. The oil is considered full spectrum because it comes from the whole plant; and will contain other cannabinoids such as: CBG, CBN, CBV, THC, THCA, THCV, Terpenes, Flavonoids and nutrient dense Phytochemicals. To further purify CBD into an isolate, meaning “by itself”; high level distillation & extraction methods are used, until the CBD is 99% pure or higher and appears as a white crystalline powder.
